| Lots of recording 2012-02-03 | Bands are in the studio working on stuff at the moment – These include Les Clochards – finally embarking on their second album – Von Braun mixing a new EP – STEM demoing tracks for a release – Tamara and the Martyrs recording some new material and The Relationships recording a couple of new tracks. Still waiting for Komrad to finish recording that long awaited album. |
| Grey Children release Doctor Doctor 2012-01-10 | Dave – former singer with Witches and musical genius has completed his album under the banner of Grey Children – with the help from a blistering array of contributing artists, including Little Fish, Tamara Parsons-Baker, Witches, The Evenings, Francis Pugh & the Whiskey Singers, T.Rextasy and many more. All Dave’s artistic endeavours are to promote people’s understanding and awareness of Pure-O, a little-known, yet potentially devastating illness. | New releases coming up 2011-08-19 | It’s been a long journey for us since Von Braun joined our label a couple of years ago – and it’s taken us a long time to capture what it is they do without losing the excitement – but finally we think we are there – after several studios and several recording environments.
The Folk Devil EP is due out at the end of this month. Also coming up – hot on the heels of the Tamara and the Martyrs Debut EP – is Tamara‘s debut solo release – Lover – if all goes to plan – also at the end of this month. Come and see both of them – and if all the ducks are in a row – buy their new releases – this weekend – at The Skittle Alley. |
| From Wilderness to The Skittle Alley 2011-08-16 | After an amazing weekend at the Wilderness festival – where Tamara and the Martyrs played – along with Samuel Zasada (why are they not on our label) – and Mercury Rev played the set of the festival – we are heading to Culham – in Oxfordshire.
Friday to Sunday of the August Bank Holiday Komrad – Welcome to Peepworld – Tamara and the Martyrs – Von Braun – Les Clochards are all playing along with some of our other favourite bands – head on down there for more bands and excitement. |
| BBC Session for Tamara 2011-06-25 | Sunday night – just after 11pm – on BBC Radio London – Tamara and the Martyrs – our latest signing – will be doing a live session.
Which will be very exciting for her – and very scary. Tamara and the Martyrs on BBC London 94.9 FM Sunday Night Sessions tonight from 10.00pm and we are on LIVE at 11.00pm. It’s the Late Show with Joanne Good (not the Ruth Barnes show as I first thought). The Rock of Travolta plus loads of other great bands – everyone should go to Charlbury Riverside Festival – actually – no – you shouldn’t all go – it would be ridiculously crowded – but at least 2000 of you should make the effort. Oh – you did. |
