Les Clochards say:

Les Clochards (or at least two of us) come over all evasive in the 400th edition of Edit Radio Podcast conducted by our pals Ben, Tom and Paul from Band of Hope. We’re on from about 5 minutes in but listen to the whole thing, it’s dead good.

Komrad will be releasing a new EP at the end of the month – with a video to go with it. Watch this space.

Cornbury Festival this past weekend was gloriously sunny and loads of people shared sets from Samuel Zasada and Les Clochards and a few other minor celebrities.

New Releases 2013-06-12

We have a number of releases coming up in the next few weeks:

  • The Other Dramas release The Noisy Star EP on the 13th of June – available on iTunes and as a hard copy from local stores and at their gigs
  • Tamara and the Martyrs release a free download single as a taster from their upcoming Album Girl Jokes about Boy Parts. The single is called Get Him Out - details of where to download it from will follow. There will also be hard copies of the single available at gigs.
  • Samuel Zasada will be releasing their Winter’s End EP in July – the recording is finished – the tracks are being mixed and it will be out in plenty of time for their appearance at Charlbury Riverside.
  • Von Braun are releasing a free download single in the lead up to their appearance at Truck Festivall. More Details to follow.

Alongside this Les Clochards have finished recording their new album – as have The Relationships. A busy time for all of us at Big Red Sky.

New Website for Les Clochards 2013-05-16 For all you Les Clochards fans – they have just launched a new website in anticipation of their new album – it features info on forthcoming gigs – video clips – sound clips and photos – along with a promised blog from the band as we near the release date. Should make interesting late night reading.

More new releases coming up 2012-05-19 With so many of our bands in the studio it’s getting hard for me to keep up. However I can tell you that:

  • Komrad finally release their debut album March of the Robot Men through Big Red Sky in Mid June
  • Welcome to Peepworld release a new studio EP Charm Offensive shortly after
  • Tamara and the Martyrs are nearly done recording their first full studio album
  • STEM are in the studio recording their debut album
  • Les Clochards are in the studio recording new material
  • The Relationships are in the studio recording new material
  • Grant is close to completing a new EP
  • Three new BRS bands are either recording – just about to record – or just finishing recording material for release this year – watch this space

So many great bands in Oxford – so little time to see them all.

Lots of recording 2012-02-03 Bands are in the studio working on stuff at the moment – These include Les Clochards – finally embarking on their second album – Von Braun mixing a new EP – STEM demoing tracks for a release – Tamara and the Martyrs recording some new material and The Relationships recording a couple of new tracks. Still waiting for Komrad to finish recording that long awaited album.
From Wilderness to The Skittle Alley 2011-08-16 After an amazing weekend at the Wilderness festival – where Tamara and the Martyrs played – along with Samuel Zasada (why are they not on our label) – and Mercury Rev played the set of the festival – we are heading to Culham – in Oxfordshire.

Friday to Sunday of the August Bank Holiday Komrad – Welcome to Peepworld – Tamara and the Martyrs – Von Braun – Les Clochards are all playing along with some of our other favourite bands – head on down there for more bands and excitement.

Charlbury Festival 2011-06-25 We had a great weekend at Charlbury Festival Last Weekend with 5 of our bands playing:

The Rock of Travolta
Les Clochards
Welcome to Peepworld
Tamara and the Martyrs

plus loads of other great bands – everyone should go to Charlbury Riverside Festival – actually – no – you shouldn’t all go – it would be ridiculously crowded – but at least 2000 of you should make the effort. Oh – you did.

No Shame
